Pay: R468 459 annually CENTER: Cape Town REQUIREMENTS: National Diploma (NQF 6) in Financial Management, Accounting, or Auditing, or an equivalent degree with accounting as a major. three (3) years or more of experience in financial management, supply chain management, auditing, internal control, or a similar discipline. Knowledge: Exhibited a thorough understanding of the legal framework governing government finance and supply chain management, as well as the creation, application, and oversight of relevant policies and procedures in a government setting. familiarity with pertinent regulations (PFMA, Treasury rules, BBBEE Act, PPPFA). It will be advantageous to have BAS, LOGIS, and Persal knowledge and experience. the capacity to set up and oversee financial management controls and procedures. DUTIES: Look into erratic, pointless, and wasteful spending; find possible financial risks, including fraud risks; and assist management in taking steps to reduce the risks found. Test and track the degree of adherence to enabling laws, such as the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, SCM, and HR guidelines, by conducting evaluations and bringing to light areas of concern regarding control deficiencies to support and improve process efficacy. Observe how the recommendations from internal and external audits are being implemented in light of the audit is findings. Attend meetings of the audit steering group. Track the development of the audit is recommended, Organize, track, and report on wasteful and ineffective spending records.
