CHIEF ARTISAN: CARPENTRY WORKSHOP REF NO: 2025/18

SALARY: R480 261 (OSD Salary) annually CENTER: Regional Office in Pretoria ESSENTIALS: A suitable certificate of trade test. Ten years of experience after graduation is necessary to work as an artisan or artisan foreman in carpentry. familiarity with the PFMA and OHSA. proficiency in technical design, analysis, and project management. Knowledge: Production, legal compliance, technical report writing, technical consultation, computer-aided technical applications, and process knowledge and abilities. an up-to-date driver’s license. DUTIES: Efficient oversight of the workshop’s daily operations, frequent site inspections, and verification that every location complies with the legal requirements. Receive, handle, and follow up on unfinished work cards; oversee the upkeep of government buildings; protect and manage workshop tools and vehicles; keep an eye on the removal of office furniture and trash from state buildings; and participate in meetings with client departments pertaining to maintenance. Help with the workshops’ procurement and financial management procedures. Manage employees in accordance with the PMDS. Create reports on the activities that took place in the workshop.
