SALARY: Level 13, all-inclusive package, R1 216 824 annually. The basic salary, the government’s contribution to the Government Employee Pension Fund, and the flexible portion—which may be organized in accordance with the guidelines for constructing the flexible portion—as well as a 13th check and a car allowance make up the compensation package. ESSENTIALS: An relevant qualification at NQF level 7 in Economics, Development Studies, or comparable qualification (postgraduate degree will receive preference). 5 years of experience at a Middle/Senior Managerial level. Suggestions: Proven proficiency in stakeholder involvement, local economic development, and integrated development planning. strong communication, leadership, and analytical abilities. familiarity with the laws and regulations controlling economic development and cooperative governance. DUTIES: creation of a framework for integrated development planning for municipalities that is in line with the 59 Provincial Spatial Framework, the Free State, and the Development Growth Strategy. Supervise the Municipalities’ application of the LED Policy Framework. Oversee the statistical modeling, economic research, and analysis for LEDs and IDPs. Create and carry out support initiatives for LEDs and IDPs. Oversee the Directorate’s financial assets. Oversee and direct the province of the Free State’s integrated development planning procedures. Create, carry out, and oversee successful local economic development plans to promote long-term expansion and employment generation. Give municipalities strategic support and direction to guarantee conformity with the development goals of the province. Encourage collaborations for development initiatives between the public and corporate sectors and civil society. Assure adherence to IDP and LED-related laws, regulations, and guidelines. S.
