Pay: R308 154 annually CENTER: Paarl Medical Center ESSENTIALS: A Senior Certificate (or its equivalent) with mathematics and/or accounting as a passed subject and/or a Senior Certificate (or its equivalent) with experience and competences centered on the Key Performance Areas (KRAs) of the position are the minimum educational requirements. Experience: Sufficient supervisory background in a hospital revenue setting. Essential criteria for the position: Outstanding communication skills, both in writing and speaking. Competencies 150 (skills/knowledge): Proficiency in Microsoft Office is one of the competencies. The Public Financial Management Act (PFMA), Treasury rules and guidelines, and departmental financial and revenue-related guidelines should all be understood and applied. Working knowledge of computerized financial systems pertaining to revenue, payments, debts, and standard charts of accounts, including the Basic Accounting System, Logis, Accounts Receivable, and Clinicom. Planning, organizing, and a positive attitude are necessary for precise mathematical computations to create reports and submit them. DUTIES: Revenue management, which includes collecting, storing, and depositing public funds Financial management, which covers basic accounting system and accounts receivable capture. Debt management includes processing journals, evaluating reports, assembling FIN448 and clearing inter-response and Medscheme accounts. creating and issuing invoices in compliance with Chapter 18 and the Uniform Patient Fees Schedule. monthly income, BAS, and billing reconciliation. control of the hospital fees department’s operations.
